Synopsis
In this fast-paced comedy, young writer Oliver Adams is on the verge of stardom—his novel The Angel Next Door is being adapted for Broadway. But when he joins the playwrights Charlotte and Arthur Sanders and his secret muse, Margot Bell, for a weekend in Newport, secrets, egos, and romantic confessions threaten to derail everything. Can the power of theatre save the play—and Oliver’s heart?
CAST
MARIANNE WEBB as CHARLOTTE SANDERS, a successful Broadway playwright. Quick-witted, resourceful, and optimistic.
JIM BROKAW as ARTHUR SANDERS, Charlotte's husband and co-playwright – a pessimist to her optimist who delights in being her foil.
CURTIS BROWN as OLIVER ADAMS, a young novelist. Naive, sincere, and a romantic with both the brilliant mind and the unwary heart of a poet.
DAWN HAUENSTEIN as OLGA, the housekeeper, and an intimidating, proudly uncaring, unhelpful servant.
KATHERINE GAUTHIER as MARGOT BELL, a Broadway singer and actress. Sweet, beautiful, and wiser than the characters she plays.
DREW SCHLEGEL as VICTOR PRATT, a Broadway leading man – and the handsomest, sexiest, manliest man on Broadway… according to him.
